Friendly House was organized in 1920 as the Phoenix Americanization Committee by a group of Phoenix citizens with the assistance of the United States Department of Education. Position Summary

The Bilingual Immigration Case Manager is responsible to assist clients with the preparation of immigration applications, liaise with relevant government agencies, analyze, review, and organize documents and data, coordinate document production, maintain client contact, and conduct ongoing case tracking and management. Additionally, The Immigration Case Manager is responsible for daily clerical operations. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bilingual in Spanish (Read and write English and Spanish)
  • Two years’ experience working in an office environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or at least 2 years of college
  • One years’ experience working in a legal office environment


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with initial client interview to obtain relevant case information.
  • Assist Attorney and BIA accredited with determining case issues and planning case strategy.
  • Determine and evaluate under attorney and BIA supervision client's eligibility for Immigration benefits
  • Gather necessary supporting documentation to demonstrate eligibility for benefit sought.
  • Prepare and file appropriate petitions with supporting evidence to USCIS or Immigration Court.
  • Review file on regular basis and prepare regular status reports.
  • Notify client of interviews date and provide client with all the necessary documentation for Immigrant Visa interviews and Adjustment of Status Interviews.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case processing issues.
  • Prepare Clients for Interviews for Naturalization, Adjustment Status and Consular Process.
  • Develop, maintain, and administer system, database, master dockets and calendars.
  • Drafts correspondence to clients, USCIS, National Visa Center, Immigration Court and US Embassies.
  • Prepare Passport Applications and submit to the appropriate government agency.
  • Attending quarterly meetings with USCIS.
  • Research and analyze Legal sources.
